The Mennon lens hood is available from DX.Com, you'll need a 49mm to 58mm step up ring and these vary from £3.00 to £6.00.
For the entertainment (and I use the term loosely) there were seven films on the programme. Two had been showed previously during the season and the other five were new.
The two "old" ones were winners of two "in house" competitions. One being the AKM Music competition and the second was the 5 min Film competition. Not often I win, so I thought I'd rub it in! The new films took us from Norfolk, with a visit to Sandringham and the Game fair. Then to look at a privately-owned car museum at Caister Castle: well worth a visit. It was then up to Scotland to see the Falkirk Wheel and the nearby Kelpies.
The evening was rounded off with a winter visit to Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetland centre near Ormskirk.
Resulting from the evening, the sales of lens hoods has increased by five and my phone was hot with enquiries as to how to place the order: pity I wasn't on commission!
"Secretary's Night", the night that all Secretaries look forward to. Despite having twelve months to prepare, it always seems to come around too soon.
I try to pass on some words of wisdom or some tip to start the evening. This year it concerned lens hoods. I use a Panasonic HC-X920 camcorder.
Whilst scanning YouTube I came across a "How to video.." regarding setting up the 920 for the best results. One thing mentioned was the use of a Mennon 58mm 16:9 lens hood. The standard issue Panasonic lens hood, supplied is really of little use. The Mennon offers much more and for less than £12.00 with free p&p what is there to lose.
