After our tea break yours truly showed a short film of his wife Sheila's early years brought up around Higham, she was born on a farm about a mile away from the village hall.
Mike then showed us some early footage of when he was a teacher in Kent and East Sussex, he looked quite different with dark hair. It was an impromptu evening and as we've experienced before these sorts of nights are sometimes the best.
We started with a short film from our "remote" member Frank Swift.
He'd been let out on a day release to film a sighting of a rare bird, the lesser spotted something or other.
Mike then took over and we saw several films of his jaunts to North America and other foreign parts.
Resulting from last week’s changes tonight we were relying on members to fill the evening. Two members had volunteered the previous week, however one, Jim, had to cancel because he wasn't feeling too well.
So, this meant a last minute call to Chairman-elect Mike with a plea to bring some DVD's over to help fill the night.
